About this Entry
Mar. 27th, 2009 @ 01:06 am AI Season 8 Top 10 (Motown Night) : Performance Night

MATT GIRAUD: (Let's Get It On) I'm glad that my favorite guy got off the piano seat and showed more of his performer side. Even though I wasn't sure if it's as great as last week's performance, I still find him a black stag front runner.

KRIS ALLEN: (How Sweet It Is) His performance is great as well, and I think he's getting better week after week, though his rendition kinda reminded me of James Taylor's cover.

SCOTT MCINTYRE: (You Can't Hurry Love) I didn't like his performance. It's just the same as before. Thank God the back-up ladies are there beside him; at least, I saw something new.

MEGAN CORKREY: (For Once In My Life) She may be one of my favorite contestants, but I have to admit she had a poor performance last night. She definitely chose the wrong song, her vocals sounded weak and uncertain.

ANOOP DESAI: (Ooohh Baby Baby) I just find his performance good. I disagree with Paula's comment that his falsetto's good; I think it's weak in most parts.

MICHAEL SARVER: (Ain't too Proud to Beg) His attempt to “take it into church” definitely failed. I guess this song really requires mad, loud vocals (like George Huff's in Season 3 at least). I agree with the judges that the song dominated him. He's in big trouble tonight.

LIL ROUNDS: (Heatwave) Like last week, Miss Lil once again chose the wrong song. It seemed like she had a hard time catching up with the song's tempo that she failed to show how great of a singer she is. She should have chosen a Marvin Gaye song.

ADAM LAMBERT: (Tracks of My Tears) I was actually surprised with this performance. Even though I'm not a Lambert fan, I loved what he last night because even though he showed vocal restraint (unlike in the past weeks), his performance remained strong as ever (though next week, I want to see his vulnerable side because I still haven't seen it)

DANNY GOKEY: (Get Ready) Even though I'm for Gokey, I think his performance last night was just above average. Period. No erase.

ALLISON IRAHETA: (Papa was a Rolling Stone) I think her performance was one of the best last night (tied with Adam). Great song choice. Great vocals. Great personality. Everything is great about her. (I think)

About this Entry
Mar. 18th, 2009 @ 12:37 pm AI Season 8 Top 11: Performance Night (Grand Ol' Opry Week)

Last week, Jorge Nuñez and Jasmine Murray had their last solo performances in the Idol stage.  This week, the Top 11 went country style and had their songs chosen from the Grand Ol’ Opry songbook with Randy Travis as their mentor.

MICHAEL SARVER: (Ain’t Going Down ‘Til the Sun Comes Up) I expected him to be one of the strongest performers last night since it was a week of country songs (and not Country Week, if you know what I mean).  However, it turned out that he had one of the weakest performances.

ALLISON IRAHETA: (Blame It On Your Heart) Loved her rock/country rendition.  She’s still my favorite gal.  That’s it.

KRIS ALLEN: (To Make You Feel My Love) I was definitely surprised with his performance.  I never thought he’s that vocally good.  He’s definitely one of the strongest performers of the night.  And if he continues to have great performances like this week’s, I think he’ll make it through to the Top 5 at least.  And he’s now one of my favorites

LIL ROUNDS: (Independence Day) Her performance was just okay for me.  She should have tried a soulful or bluesy country song (something similar to Bringing out the Elvis in Me) or at least tried to incorporate her R&B vibe into the song.

ADAM LAMBERT: (Ring of Fire) Like Kara, I find his performance quite strange.  Though he did well vocally, I still think there’s something missing in his performance for me to jump off my feet and consider it awesome.  Maybe it’s the soul.  Or maybe it’s the heartfelt performance.  I just don’t know.  All in all, it’s a love-it-or-hate-it performace

SCOTT MCINTYRE: (Wild Angels) Even though his performance last night was better than last week’s, I still wasn’t able to see something new in him.  It’s still a weak performance for me.  I hope he’d try some upbeat songs just for a change.

ALEXIS GRACE: (Jolene) Her attempt to slow down the tempo was a mess in my opinion.  She should have given a semi- upbeat rendition with her guitar as accompaniment (like what Brooke did during Dolly Parton week in Season 7).  And I think she’s beginning to be like Scott, who always gives the same (or if not, almost the same) performance pattern every week.

DANNY GOKEY: (Jesus Take the Wheel) Even though he was struggling with the low notes and phrasing during the first part of the song, he still managed to pull it off towards the chorus.  What I like about his performances is that it’s beyond showcasing his vocal capabilities.  There’s heart and soul added in it (which for me is more important and which I rarely see in Adam’s performances)

ANOOP DESAI: (Always on My Mind).  I think that this performance is good enough to prove why he deserves to be in the Final 13.  He may not have shown the strongest vocals, but I still consider his performance as one of the best this week.

MEGAN JOY CORKREY: (Walking After Midnight) She might have the flu but still it didn’t prevent her from giving a good performance.  I just have so much fun watching her.  Maybe it’s because she’s cute.  Or maybe it’s because of her wiggling-spinning moves.  But she can definitely sing.

MATT GIRAUD: (So Small):  Great!  Great!  Great!  Still my favorite guy!  I just love how he puts his own soulful spin in every song that he chooses.  For me, he has the best performance this week.  Just as Allison’s the female dark horse, Matt’s the dark stallion of this season.

About this Entry
Mar. 11th, 2009 @ 11:04 pm AI Season 8 Top 13: Performance Night

(Due to a problem with my broadband connection, I wasn’t able to update my blog yesterday.  Anyway, here it goes)

Last night, the Top 13 heated up a bigger and definitely better stage with the music of Michael Jackson.  And because it’s from the King of Pop, upbeat songs and great energy on the stage were expected

LIL ROUNDS: (The Way You Make Me Feel) She definitely started the show right.  She showed mad vocal skills and made the song soulful and bluesy.  Great stage presence as well.

SCOTT MCINTYRE: (Keep the Faith) Even though he gave a heartfelt performance, I still think what he did was just like a few weeks ago; I couldn’t find something new and it’s beginning to bore me a little.

DANNY GOKEY: (PYT/Pretty Young Thing) I loved his performance and his energy on the stage.  Like Lil, he definitely got great vocal range.  And I also like the huskiness in his voice.  Very good.

MICHAEL SARVER: (You Are Not Alone) He gave a good performance.  He had good voice control, though I think it would have been better if he sang a bit higher and made more runs in the bridge-last chorus part to make it greater and more uplifting.

JASMINE MURRAY: (I’ll Be There) I wasn’t sure if she did well in her performance.  I think it’s just okay in terms of vocals.  Well, maybe it’s because I’d prefer to have her sing an upbeat song.  Nevertheless, she looked good in the camera.

KRIS ALLEN: (Remember the Time) I liked his performance.  Like what Randy said, he’s like Jason Mraz.  He didn’t only have great appeal to the audience; he’s got pipes as well.  And he sounded very current

ALLISON IRAHETA:  (Give In To Me) I’m really amazed how this sixteen-year-old got a mature rangy rock voice.  She’s one of the few that I’m looking really forward to in giving great performances.  And I wasn’t disappointed last night.  I loved her rock rendition.  I can see another rocker Kelly Clarkson/Pink in the making.

ANOOP DESAI: (Beat It) He gave a very karaoke performance of the song.  I was disappointed with him this week.  And I did not see something new in him that he’s becoming a bit boring for me.

JORGE NUÑEZ: (Never Can Say Goodbye)  Another boring performance for me.  Period.  He might be one of those in trouble this week

MEGAN JOY CORKREY: (Rockin Robin) Even though the judges gave her some negative comments, I still enjoyed her performance.  It’s really fun watching her coz she’s cute and her voice’s kinda appealing.

ADAM LAMBERT: (Black or White) Yes, he gave a great performance, but I find it quite over the top.  But he’s definitely a shoo-in the final 5 at least.

MATT GIRAUD: (Human Nature) Actually, I liked him better than Adam.  I just like his singer-songwriter image and I love how he puts soul in his performance.  And I’m so glad that he made it in the Top 12 (or 13, I should say)

ALEXIS GRACE: (Dirty Diana) She didn’t make it in the Top 13 for no reason at all.  I liked her performance.  She even reminded me of Christina Aguilera.

Before the show ended, Ryan said that there would be a slight change in the rules this season.  I think it would be about the decision: maybe the results will be 50% from America’s vote and 50% from the judges vote (or something like that)

MY TOP 5: (in no particular order)

Matt Giraud

Adam Lambert

Kris Allen

Lil Rounds

Allison Iraheta

MY BOTTOM 4:

Jorge Nuñez

Anoop Desai

Jasmine Murray

Scott Mcintyre

- BASED ON LAST NIGHT’S PERFORMANCES, I think the ones who should go are Jorge and Anoop. (PS. IMO only)

About this Entry
Mar. 4th, 2009 @ 11:32 am AI Season 8 Semis: Batch 3 Performance Night

This week, I find it quite hard to pick my top 3 contestants because I got to have more bets in this batch than the previous ones.  Well, here are my comments for each performance:

VON SMITH: (You’re All I Need to Get By).  He definitely showed improvement compared to his past auditions.  And the judges also gave him positive comments.  I think he’s got good showmanship and voice.  But I’m not sure he’ll get the top guy/second highest vote from America.

TAYLOR VAIFANUA: (If I Ain’t Got You).  In my opinion, it’s a wrong decision for her to sing that song the second time around (reminded me of Haley Scarlato from Season 6 when she sang It’s All Coming Back To Me Now the 2nd time around; the judges did not enjoy it).  She lacked personality in her performance that I wasn’t thrilled watching and listening to it.  Overall, I think her performance isn’t enough to get her to the finals.  Well, at least at this moment.  Or tomorrow.

ALEX WAGNER TRUGMAN: (I Guess That’s Why They Call It the Blues).  He definitely can sing, but I find his performance quite odd and sort of little disturbing.  Maybe it’s because of some awkward things that happened in the stage while he’s singing.

ARIANNA AFSAR: (The Winner Takes It All).  I think she got the wrong song choice because it’s too big for her.  Her attempt to make it a good contemporary version failed for me; the original song has too much melody, the arrangement wasn’t contemporary (I think it was even slower than the original), and Arianna did too much vocal acrobatics that it somewhat messed up the whole song

JU’NOT JOYNER: (Hey There Delilah). Even though he had a safe performance, I still find it good because it was smooth and he showed some vulnerability.  The tone of his voice is nice as well (He somewhat reminded me of Sisqo).  Overall, I liked his performance, though I’m not sure if he would make it in the top 3.  But I hope that he at least will be chosen as a contender in the wildcard round.

KRISTEN MCNAMARA: (Give Me One Reason).  She definitely got a great big voice and I also loved her performance (though were some pitchy moments especially in the end part).  However, the judges had a problem with her personality, particularly her get-up).  But still, I’m rooting for her to be included in the top 12 (or if not, in the wildcard round at least).

NATHANIEL MARSHALL: (I Would Do Anything For Love).  I didn’t like his performance at all.  He can sing, but I think he lacked distinction in his voice.  I did not also like the arrangement of the song (tempo shifting, that is; I found it weird).  But he has a good personality.  That’s all

FELICIA BARTON: (No One) I love this girl.  I thought she looked great and had a distinct personality and voice as well.  She reminded me of Carly Smithson.  Though there were some pitch problems in her performance (especially on the first chorus, the “no one” was off-key), I still found it good.  She’s one of my bets as well.

SCOTT MCINTYRE: (Mandolin Rain).  Overall, he gave a good heartfelt performance, though I can’t wait for him to sing while he plays the piano.  I think he’ll be included in the Top 12

KENDALL BEARD: (This One’s for the Girls) For me, she gave a good performance, though I’m not sure in terms of her vocals and song choice.  But she’s cute.  And she definitely knows herself as a country singer (as shown in her performances)

JORGE NUÑEZ: (Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me) It’s another heartfelt performance.  Vocally-wise, he did great.  I think he’s the best male performer of the night).

LI’L ROUNDS (Be Without You).  I think she’s the best female of the night.  I like her R&B vibe and her stage presence as well.

MY TOP 3 PREDICTION:

Top Guy: Either Jorge Nuñez or Scott Mcintyre

Top Girl: Lil Rounds

Second Highest: Either Scott Mcintyre, Jorge Nuñez, Ju’not Joyner, Felicia Barton or Kristen McNamara (though I’ll also be glad if Von Smith and Kendall Beard will join the rest of the crew)

America has spoken...
And the three people moving on as finalists are...
ADAM LAMBERT
ALLISON IRAHETA
and
KRIS ALLEN
(Awww, it was quite disappointing that either Mishavonna or Megan didn't make it.  But I guess Kris did better compared to the other male contestants last night, and he has the star quality as well)

About this Entry
Feb. 26th, 2009 @ 11:40 am AI Season 8 Semis: Batch 2 Performance Night
Last week, it was Danny Gokie, Alexis Grace and Michael Sarver who outshined nine others and filled up the first three slots in the Final 12. Now, who among the second batch of American Idol hopefuls will get occupy the other three seats?
This week’s singers might have the advantage since they already have an idea on what to do and what not to do based on last week’s performances. But still, it’s the wrong song choice that made most of them fail to impress the judges.

Here’s a very brief rundown of their performances and my comments as well:

JASMINE MURRAY: (Love Song) She’s definitely beautiful but also definitely got the wrong song especially that she was the first to start. Well, it showed in her performance especially during the lower parts of the song.

MATT GIRAUD: (Viva La Vida) I love his performances during the Hollywood week, especially when he played the piano for accompaniment. Sadly, last night’s performance was quite disappointing. He definitely has some good pipes and soul, but his song choice wasn’t able to let him showcase his vocal strengths. In case he won’t be chosen tonight as one of the top 3, I hope he’ll do well in the Wildcard round coz he has it (I think).

JEANINE VAILES: (This Love) Like Matt, this girl also has good vocal quality. Once again, the problem’s in the song choice. She should have chosen an R&B/Soul song rather than a pop-rock one. Great legs anyway.

NICK MITCHELL: (And I Am Telling You) After another entertaining yet quite confusing performance (which he did in the Hollywood week), I definitely agree with myself and a few others that it’s definitely a big no-no for him to be included in the Final 12. He’s a good entertainer. Period.

ALLISON IRAHETA: (Alone) Even though I wasn’t able to watch her performances in the Hollywood week, I had this initial feeling that she’ll do well. Well, there were definitely some moments in her performance when she got quite screechy, but overall, (as Simon also said) it was by a mile better than the others. And in certain angles, she looks like Kelly Clarkson. She’s one of my dawgs in this batch.

KRIS ALLEN: (Man in the Mirror) I’m not really sure if he did well or not. Well, there were some good moments in his performance (around middle to the end part), but the soul was quite lacking

MEGAN CORKREY: (Put Your Record On) I love this gal not only because she’s so beautiful, cute, adorable, charming (oops, I’ getting so biased) etc. but also because of her singing voice that sounds contemporary and relevant. Actually, she did well in my opinion. She might be picked as one of the top three this week.

MATT BREITZKIE: (If You Can Only See) His performance was too safe for me. But he definitely can sing well. Wrong song choice once again

JESSE LANGSETH: (Bette Davis Eyes) Like Megan, I also find her vocal tone quite interesting. Overall, I think she did well in her performance (compared to others), though there were some boring moments in it.

KAI KALAMA: (What Becomes of the Broken Hearted) I actually expected him to give a more soulful performance than what he did last night. I wasn’t that satisfied with his delivery because it didn’t sound different compared to the other renditions of the song (that is, an old-fashioned rendition i.m.o.)

MISHAVONNA HENSON: (Drops of Jupiter) Though the song choice is just okay for me, I actually think she did a good performance and her voice is good as well. Actually, her voice and the way she composed herself reminded me of Katharine McPhee. Well, the judges are right that she needs to loosen up. She’s another one of my bets.

ADAM LAMBERT: (Satisfaction) Contrary to Nick, he’s definitely a shoo-in to be in the Final 12. Though he needs to work on some parts because he tends (just a little bit- just for emphasis) to be quite theatrical in his performance and voice. But man, I’m so impressed with his vocal range.  But I can't believe he's already 27/28 years old.  He really looks like  one of the Jonas Brothers

MY TOP 3 PREDICTION:
Top Guy: Adam Lambert
Top Gal: Allison Iraheta
2nd: Either Megan Corkrey or Mishavonna Henson (though I also like Matt Giraud)

About this Entry
Feb. 19th, 2009 @ 02:07 am AI Season 8 Semis: Batch 1 Performance Night
American Idol Season 8 semis officially started a while ago (Philippine time) as the first batch of hopefuls heated up the stage to prove that they can be the next big thing in the music industry.

First to start the round was 27-year-old Cali girl Jackie Tohn who did a rather more-upbeat-than-the-original rendition of ‘A Little Less Conversation’. Her vocal quality might be quite questionable, but her stage presence as well as the masses of personality she showed in her performance gave her thumbs up sign from most of the judges.

Next to perform was Ricky Braddy of Tennessee, who sang ‘A Song for You’. He’s got good vocals but he still lacked the confidence. Overall, he’s got quite a good chance to be included in the top 12.

Meanwhile, 21-year-old mom Alexis Grace did ‘Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You’ and the judges gave her positive remarks. (Though I like Sabrina Sloan’s performance better)

Ohio native Brent Keith, on the other hand, had a safe performance of ‘Hick Town’. The same goes for 17-year-old Stevie Wright with her version of ‘You Belong with Me’

Anoop “Anoop Dawg” Desai showed her softer side with his performance of Monica’s ‘Angel of Mine’. However, his song choice did not satisfy the judges.

Wrong song choice also put the beautiful Casey Carlson (Yes, she’s beautiful!) in a bad situation when she performed ‘Every Little Thing He Does is Magic’ that then gave her negative reviews from the judges.

Oil rig roughneck Michael Sarver gave an upbeat country performance of ‘I Don’t Wanna Be’, but the judges weren’t that pleased as they made a comment of not seeing his soulful side that they like during his earlier auditions.

Wrong song choice was still an issue for both Ann Marie Boskovich (who sang ‘Natural Woman’) and Stephen Fowler (who performed with his rendition of ‘Rock with You’) as they failed to wow the judges.

Puerto Rican Tatiana del Toro put aside her so-called giddiness and showed her quiet, softer side as she sang Whitney Houston’s ‘Saving All My Love For You, which then gave her mixed review from the judges. Overall, she gave a good performance, though the judges were still confused with her identity as a singer.

28-year-old Danny Gokey ended the show with his soulful performance of ‘Hero’ (originally sung by Mariah Carey), which then gave him good remarks from the judges.

----------------------------------------------------

Rules this season: For each batch (there are three batches), America gets to pick only three contestants (one male, one female, 2nd highest placer) to be included in the Final 12. In addition, there will be a wild card competition wherein the top 3 contestants will be put in the remaining 3 slots in the Finals

Batch 1 = 3

Batch 2 = 3

Batch 3 = 3

Wild Card = 3

And there goes your final 12

===========================================================
And now. MY PICK: (Note: IMO only)

1st Batch:

Top Guy: Danny Gokie

Top Girl: Alexis Grace

2nd Highest: either Ricky Braddy (35%), Anoop Desai(35%), or Tatiana del Toro (30%)

Your number is: 7

The characteristics of #7 are: Analysis, understanding, knowledge, awareness, studious, meditating.

The expression or destiny for #7:
Thought, analysis, introspection, and seclusiveness are all characteristics of the expression number 7. The hallmark of the number 7 is a good mind, and especially good at searching out and finding the truth. You are so very capable of analyzing, judging and discriminating, that very little ever escapes your observation and deep understanding. You are the type of person that can really get involved in a search for wisdom or hidden truths, often becoming an authority on whatever it is your are focusing on. This can easily be of a technical or scientific nature, or it may be religious or occult, it matters very little, you pursue knowledge with the same sort of vigor. You can make a very fine teacher, or because of a natural inclination toward the spiritual, you may become deeply emerged in religious affairs or even psychic explorations. You tend to operate on a rather different wavelength, and many of your friends may not really know you very well. The positive aspects of the 7 expression are that you can be a true perfectionist in a very positive sense of the word. You are very logical, and usually employ a quite rational approach to most things you do. You can be so rational at times that you almost seem to lack emotion, and when you are faced with an emotional situation, you may have a bit of a problem coping with it. You have excellent capabilities to study and learn really deep and difficult subjects, and to search for hidden fundamentals. At full maturity you are likely to be a very peaceful and poised individual.

If there is an over supply of the number 7 in your makeup, the negative aspects of the number may be apparent. The chief negative of 7 relates to the limited degree of trust that you may have in people. A tendency to be highly introverted can make you a bit on the self-centered side, certainly very much self-contained . Because of this, you are not very adaptable, and you may tend to be overly critical and intolerant. You really like to work alone, at your own pace and in your own way. You neither show or understand emotions very well.

You want to be in solid, conventional, and well-regulated activities, and you are somewhat disturbed by innovation and erratic or sudden changes. Excellent at organizing, systematizing, and managing, you have a way of establishing order and maintaining it. You are responsible, reliable and in the final analysis, practical. Highly analytical, you can see your way through all sorts of situations and generally have a clear understanding of the issues. You are a very honest, sincere, and conscientious individual.

The negative side of the 4 is rigid, stubborn and somewhat narrow-minded. There is a tendency to hide feelings, or to really not be aware of real feelings. Avoid being too rigid and stubborn in your thinking, and try to always see the big picture rather than becoming to involved with the detail. Don't be afraid to take a chance once in awhile.

Your Inner Dream number is: 3

An Inner Dream number of 3 means:
You dream of artistic expression; writing, painting, music. You would seek to more freely express your inner feeling and obtain more enjoyment from life. You also dream of being more popular, likable, and appreciated.

Jan. 14th, 2009 @ 11:19 am Will Juan begin to put on some earmuffs? (Brrrrrrr...)
The weather these past few days seem to be odd.  It’s like Christmas is yet to come.  Well, winter season usually lasts until February, and here in our country (based on my experience), the temperature usually begins to rise at this time of the year.  But it’s the other way around, especially at night.  It’s like Metro Manila’s been turning into Baguio and Baguio’s been moving away from the equatorial line.  Jackets, sweaters and those scarves that started to become hip last year (in a TROPICAL country like ours) will now really be of great use to everyone (not only to those who study and work at air conditioned schools and offices).

I don’t know the cause of this sudden climatic change, but I read an internet news article that I think might somehow give us a clue on what’s really happening:

Shocking cold wave drops temps to 40 below zero

By AMY FORLITI, Associated Press Writer Amy Forliti, Associated Press Writer – 2 hrs 14 mins ago

MINNEAPOLIS – Temperatures crashed to Arctic levels Tuesday as a severe cold wave rolled across the upper Midwest on the heels of yet another snowstorm, closing schools and making most people think twice before going outside. Early Wednesday, the cold front swept into New York, sending temperatures falling from the 30s a day before to single digits or below zero. It hit 8 below in Massena, on the St. Lawrence River in northern New York, with the wind chill making it feel like minus 25 degrees.

In Michigan, temperatures Wednesday morning ranged from minus 17 at Ironwood in the western Upper Peninsula to 10 degrees in the southwestern Lower Peninsula and 12 on Beaver Island. Ironwood earlier recorded a temperature of minus 23.

Thermometers read single digits early in the day as far south as Kansas and Missouri, where some areas warmed only into the teens by midday.

The ice and snow that glazed pavement was blamed for numerous traffic accidents from Minnesota to Indiana, where police said a truck overturned and spilled 43,000 pounds of cheese, closing a busy highway ramp during the night in the Gary area.

The bitter cold snap was responsible for at least one death Tuesday.

A 51-year-old man in northern Wisconsin died from exposure after wandering from his Hayward home early Tuesday, authorities said. His son reported him missing and said he was prone to sleepwalking, and deputies followed footprints in the snow to find the man about 190 yards from his house, Sawyer County Chief Deputy Tim Zeigle said.

THE GIST: We definitely are not the only ones experiencing it.

Be it an effect of cold wave or whatsoever, I hope that the temperature won’t drop further because at this point, health is already at risk especially to most of us Filipinos who are not  exposed to a wintry weather.  Maybe the highlanders are, but they’re still not exempted (there’s a local news report today that said someone from the Northern Luzon either got ill or dies due to extreme coldness in weather)

Brrrrrrrr…………….. I hope I won’t get frostbite (well, it’s far from happening right now. But who knows?)

About this Entry
Nov. 15th, 2008 @ 10:52 am Blah blahs of Mr. Undecided

I’ve been struggling with myself right now in terms of the path that I am taking (or I should suppose to take).  It’s been more than a year since I finished a degree in Journalism and yet I wasn’t able to prove myself worthy in many things especially that my life now is into facing the challenges of the real world.  I really don’t know if it’s just me who never feels contented or it’s just that I’m really left behind by others.

Maybe the problem is in me.  Maybe it’s because that I do not know what I want to do, where I want to be or where I want to end up.  Well, many people in different areas of my life asked me at least once what I want to be (especially in terms of career).  And my replies are either ‘I want to be this and that’ or ‘I am still undecided.’  But as time pass by, there I realize that the first reply of mine should be omitted as an option.   To be honest, I feel envious to other people who know what they want to be and put them into realization.  And there’s this sense of disappointment that I feel towards myself as to the current path that I am taking.

With regard to my current job as a researcher of a talk show, I’m having some doubts to the fulfillment it brings in me.  Some colleagues of mine say that I should continue on with my current job because it gives a sense of fulfillment and pride when you get to be promoted eventually to a higher position plus the fact that you are working at a prestigious company.  Others in a sort of way influence or affect my thoughts into getting another (fair and more humane) job where one’s efforts are justifiably replaced by good compensations that in some way might be the root of fulfillment especially when you have multiple ambitions and to-do’s and to-be’s in life.

Argghh! I feel that a paramecium by far has a clearer and more decisive mind than me (even though it's not rational and not even an animal)

Oct. 2nd, 2008 @ 10:48 pm Haaay, katamad!!!
Haaay! At last, I got the time and more importantly, the effort, to wipe off unwanted cobs in my blog. It's been a month or so since I last made an update. Well, I really have the entire yesterday to post an entry, pero tinamad ako...

Some updates? Hmmmm... ano kaya? hmmmm.... lemme think...

At dahil tinatamad na naman ako, let me just enumerate my wishlist, what-I-am-currently-doing-and-what-I-crave-for, or whatever-you-may-call-it-list these past few weeks:

- Heroes Season 3 - I heard from my company mates (I did not call them officemates since they're from different department) that episodes 1 and 2 have been released for public viewing. I'm trying to browse the said eps in YouTube, but all I can see are three-minuters and not 20-to-30-minuters.

- I'm trying to lessen bread and meat intake and replace it instead with fruits and veggies. BUT I CAN'T! I think I'm a carnivorous by nature; I just can't take away meat that easily in my daily food consumption. Di ko talaga kaya! Makes me feel that I'm a descendant of the T-rex

- Right now, I crave for fruit milkshakes (or milky fruitshakes, or fruitshakes with milk? whatever) especially those of Coconut Republic's (though I only want CocoMango and CocoSweetcorn)

- At last, I get to watch television at night. Right now, I prefer to watch sitcoms because I think laughter is capable of releasing work's stress more than crying over drama shows (d ko sure kung tama ba ang sentence structure ko, hehe). Pero ang pinapanood ko lang ay mga disney channel sitcoms (isip bata, hehe), namely: The suite Life of Zack and Cody, Wizards of waverly Place, and Hannah Montana

- and speaking of Disney Channel, I can't wait for the showing of High School Musical 3 in local theaters. I think it will be on October 24. Kailangan ko nang mag-ipon ng pambili ng ticket. Makapaglako na nga sa daan...

- And then.... Oopps... putol!

Ayan na naman, inatake na naman ako ng katamaran. Well, ok na rin yun kasi kailangan ko pang mag-isip ng possible segments and episodes na ibabato ko sa line-up meeting namin bukas. Haaay! chop chop, Lee!
